Loved this session, based on one of my FAVORITE operas ever.
The tragic story of Butterfly, a young Japanese girl who falls in love with an American Liutenant. After spending a short time together, he leaves her alone. Shunned by her family Butterfly bears his child and waits 3 years for his return. To her horror, he returns with an american wife, and Butterfly commits suicide. liutenant Pinkerton leaves Japan full of guilt with Butterfly's child.
